  • What I love about construction
    I enjoy collaborating with people from diverse backgrounds and skillsets. On the same day, you can be walking through a live construction site, interacting with our field team, reviewing budget and schedule options with a senior leader at major Fortune 500, and everything in between. It’s the people that make work fun and rewarding and there’s nothing better than watching the team develop and grow – you get out what you are prepared to put in.
  • What I do for Schimenti
    I have an interesting and broad role that is split into two parts: firstly from an operational perspective, I am responsible for all front-end services, which includes preconstruction, estimating, risk management, marketing, and client relations. The other part of my role is supporting our ELT with strategic direction, including diversifying our service offer across corporate real estate, industrial, hospitality, and retail sectors, expanding nationally, particularly on the West Coast, and embedding our Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion strategy and sustainability approach into the business. I’m proud to work alongside a unique group of people with a broad skillset – in fact, positioning people in their areas of strength and watching them thrive is by far the best part of my job.
  • Greatest passion outside of work
    Friends and family are the most important. Beyond that, anything that involves travel and trying to keep my plants alive.
  • What our core values mean to me
    As part of our Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion journey, we recently updated our values to include both Opportunity and Belonging. To my core, I believe a diverse team is a better team and avoids the collective blindness that prevents progress and change. The best days are those where we can celebrate team wins – we have an unbelievable group of people and I can’t wait to see where they can take us.
  • Recreation interest or hidden talents
    I fancy myself as a decent cook (haven’t quite learned the clean as you go skill) and every year I try to get onto a mountain.
